Jewelry Care

The pieces from ByKateJewelry are handcrafted and should be treated with care to preserve their longevity. Here are a few care suggestions:

Dust and Dirt - Use a soft polishing cloth after wearing to remove dust and dirt.

Tarnishing – Metal tarnishes more quickly under hot or humid conditions. Water, perspiration, perfume and lotion can cause tarnishing, too. To minimize these effects, we suggest putting on your jewelry last before going out, and take off first when you arrive home.

Storage - Store your jewelry either laying down flat or hanging up straight to prevent any kinks or tangles.

Sunlight - Keep your jewelry out of direct sunlight because it may start to fade stones over time.

Finally, we do not recommend that you wear your handmade jewelry while sleeping. Doing so can damage it.
